Michael McCarthy, CPA, MBA
Mr. McCarthy brings a wealth of both domestic and international financial experience to the organization. He has served in positions as CEO, CFO and financial consultant to organizations in both the United States and abroad, including Germany, Singapore, and the Dominican Republic. He has maintained client relationships with many other international firms, including Austria, Switzerland, Ireland and Eastern Europe. In addition to being a native English speaker, he also speaks fluent German.
Mr. McCarthy has served on the financial institution side of enterprise, having worked for major financial intermediaries including a position as Assistant Vice President with the Merrill Lynch Capital Management group in Frankfort, Germany. In addition, he has served as partner and CFO of another financial institution in Munich. His experience ranges from operational management to strategic planning as well as the financial and liquidity management processes, including implementation of evaluation processes, and developing organizational and tax structures of new investments. He has experience working with venture capital firms both as a financial manager and by successfully raising capital from VC's.
Mr. McCarthy has been instrumental in several mergers, acquisitions, and sales of firms. At each company where he has served, he has developed and implemented strategic business plans and financial models. Mr. McCarthy has over six years experience with Price Waterhouse, where he served as an assistant manager in the Accounting and Business Advisory Services Group. He authored Banking in Germany published by Price Waterhouse in 1995.
Mr. McCarthy holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Marquette University, is a Certified Public Accountant, a registered General Securities Representative (Series 7) and is a Certified Valuation Analyst.
